With a smile on my face and joy in my heart I can say this is a lifetime keepsake book for a child. As a grandma I will absolutely read this book over and over again to my granddaughter. Joey, the main character learned he just had to BELIEVE. What a wonderful adventure Joey and Starlight went on where Joey got to see his wish. Wishes come true! Beautiful illustrations too.
The Secret of Making Wishes Come True
This beautiful story is about a child making a wish, but it is written so intellegently that people of all ages can identify with Joey’s circumstances. Joey’s resolve was to believe wishes can come true, if one believes in one’s self. Many times when a dream does come true, it dosn’t look like the one that was imagined. Not only did Randi write a beautiful story, she selected Patrick Brooks’ art of delicate sensitivity for matching his illustrations with her writing. This can result in a beautiful emotional impression in anyone’s mind.

Today I received Moonlight and Wishes in the mail. It is absolutely precious, and it has a simple message that is at the depth of many children. A positive hopeful message. It flows so comfortably. Purchased for a grandniece of 3 1/2. I so loved the message and graphics; it made me smile reading through it. I will read it to her and hold on to it for a while… just to enjoy. A kid at heart here!

Randi Woodward Larsen
Randi Woodward Larsen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine, as well as post graduate certificate degrees in Dream Coaching, and Spiritual Direction.
While working as a Disneyland Tour Guide she witnessed the magic of imagination come alive in the eyes and hearts of children. She had the joy of bringing that magic to life herself sharing fairytales, and folktales, later in life, as a professional storyteller in the oral tradition.
Moonlight and Wishes in Randi’s first children’s book. She hopes that the unbridled spirit of imagination will inspire children to believe in their dreams.
Meet the Illustrator
Patrick Brooks
Patrick was inspired to draw from an early age from watching animated shows and films. His grandfather Brooks, a painter, also influenced his interest in art. Patrick graduated in Fine Art and has worked with publishers and authors in America, Australia and Europe on 25 books. He developed his pastel skills throughout art education and moved into mixed traditional and digital media using Photoshop.
Patrick has also written and illustrated two picture books. He is represented by Advocate Art, lives in Cornwall, UK and enjoys illustrating something new every day.
